This village, its people, the snow that blankets it, a place any skier would dream of. Bottomless-light powder, enriching and long established culture, mouth watering food, and kind people. I find it difficult to explain to some of my peers the pull it has on me. If you’ve been here you know.

The past three winters I have lived, worked, and experienced life with a Japanese family at their fourth generation soba restaurant located in the heart of the village. The opportunity to be with them I’ll be grateful for forever.
